If you’re a real estate agent, you know that a critical part of any home purchase is getting a home inspection done before the sale is finalized.
Most likely, you develop and cultivate a list of home inspectors to recommend to your clients should they ask. If you’ve done real estate for very long, you’ve learned that the quality of a home inspector varies just as it does for any other profession.
I am honored that several agents enjoy working with me. Several of my clients have come to me by way of their recommendation, and that just solidifies my commitment to continue working hard to earn their trust.
I never pay agents to refer me. I would consider that unethical, and I believe you would, too.
But there are some benefits to working with me that I can offer:
✔ Well-Trained: You want someone who has the training and knowledge to do the job well. Someone who can recognize issues in a house, but who also knows the difference between major and minor issues and can make that difference clear. (Read more about my training.)
✔ Professional: I won’t rubberstamp a house to help a sale go through. That does no one good in the long run and wouldn’t be professional. If our mutual client regrets their home purchase because of issues that should have been caught, that will only harm my reputation and the reputation of the agent who referred me.
✔ Timely: Real estate transactions can move quickly, so your client doesn’t need to spend time waiting and waiting to hear from me. After my inspection is complete, your client can expect a detailed and thorough digital report within 36 hours (but usually the next day).
✔ Industry-Best Report Software: The digital report that each of my clients receives is created using the most modern software. Considered the best in the industry, it creates interactive reports that are easy to understand and supported with digital photos. You, as our client’s agent, will receive a copy of this report.
✔ Repair Request Builder Tool: You can create a list of repairs using the report’s software to pull information (including pictures) directly from the report. You can add comments of your own, and this list of repairs can be used in negotiations to produce a purchase agreement.
✔ Access to Continuing Education for Agents: As a member of InterNACHI©, the world’s leading association of home inspectors, I have access not only to continuing education opportunities for myself but also free online courses designed specifically for real estate agents. These courses can be shared with you.
If you would like to hear more about my process, training, or if you have any other questions, I would be happy to talk with you. Feel free to contact me, and we can set up a time to chat.
In the meantime, here’s a video that shows how you can use the Repair Request Builder Tool in my software to create a repair list for your clients:
